JOAN HEWATT SWAIM is author of Walking TCU: A Historical Perspective. She has written over 35 articles for This Is TCU and The TCU magazine since 1986. This site contains most of Joan's magazine articles as well as some excerpts from her book. Presently, Joan is working on a new book commissioned by TCU, which will be an historical account of the University from the centennial year of 1973 through 2003. An earlier history written by former Dean, Jerome A. Moore, brought TCU's story up to 1973. The volume will include text regarding all aspects of campus life during the chosen time period, as well as appended material such as lists of members of the Board of Trustees and faculty, and an extensive index. Publication date has not yet been established -- nor has a title. Stay tuned!
